President Uhuru Kenyatta Meets Ex-Bitish PM Tony Blair Over Big 4 Agenda

President Uhuru Kenyatta, on Friday, met with the former British Prime Minister Tony Blair at State House over his Big Four Agenda plan.

State House revealed that the two heads of Government agreed to carry on with each others support to fulfilling the big four agenda for the betterment of Kenyan people.

Blair’s foundation, The Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, has in the past supported Uhuru’s government in monitoring the delivery of his projects.

President (Uhuru Kenyatta) also held talks with former British PM Tony Blair.

The Tony Blair Institute for Global Change has been offering support in enhancing capacity, to ensure an effective framework for monitoring the delivery of key Government projects,” wrote Uhuru’s communication team.

The meeting was aimed at alleviating poverty through developing manufacturing and infrastructure especially in a country where more than 20 million are still living under the poverty line.

We are helping put in place systems and structures to monitor and drive progress on priority infrastructure and development projects, including those that increase electricity generation, improve roads and build a new railway linking Nairobi and Mombasa,” read a statement from the foundation.

Earlier, President Uhuru Kenyatta had also held another meeting at the State House with South Africa’s Deputy President David Mabuza.

The two agreed to cooperate in Agriculture, Education, Geothermal power and youth empowerment areas.
