CS Eugene Wamalwa & Wife Lucy Musundi Graduate from UoN

Devolution Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa and his wife Lucy Musundi set couple goals when they graduated together from the University of Nairobi.

Wamalwa graduated with a Masters of Law while his wife was awarded a First Class Honors in International studies.

Eugene is a lawyer by profession having been admitted to the bar in 1995.

Even though Wamalwa has been in politics for nearly a decade, he first introduced Musundi to the limelight in the run-up to the 2013 general election.

The couple has 10 adopted children, but none of their own.

Also on the honours list is Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu who also attained her Masters degree in law.

Deputy President William Ruto graduated with a PhD in Plant Ecology on the same day he celebrates his birthday and his wedding anniversary.

He joined UoN in August 2012 and was supposed to graduate in 2016 but wasn’t approved since he did not meet the required threshold.

Meru Senator Mithika Linturi got a reprieve after a High Court ordered the University to grant him his degree in Law.

The University of Nairobi has a population of 84,000 students and 2,220 staff with PhDs and 540 academic programmes.
