Detectives investigating the explosion that occurred outside Odeon Cinema shortly after 7 pm on Saturday have confiscated a KShs100 note as evidence.
The money, which had been handed to a cart-pusher identified as Joseph Okinyi by a woman in a hijab, will be analyzed for fingerprints.
Okinyi was at the Baba Dogo bus stop when the woman asked him to ferry a small box to Kenya Cinema.
When they got to the Latema Road-Tom Mboya street junction, she told the Okinyi that she had forgotten her identification card at an M-PESA shop and requested to go and pick it.
While he was waiting for her to return, the box that he was carrying exploded. He sustained minor injuries on his right hand during the incident.
A newspaper vendor who was nearby also sustained minor injuries on his right leg. The two men were rushed to a nearby hospital.
