The body of a Nation Media Group employee who went missing on January 29 has been found at City Mortuary, Nairobi.
Mildred Odira's sister Maureen Anyango confirmed the devastating news, stating that "Millie is no more, we have found her at the City Mortuary.
Mildred who worked as a switchboard operator was last seen on Tuesday morning when she left her house in a taxi.
Guards at her residence in Kariobangi South narrated that the mother of one had ordered a taxi to Ruaraka Uhai Nema Hospital after falling ill the previous night.
Mildred's sister stated that they had visited several hospitals to look for Odira but their efforts had been fruitless.
According to her family, the deceased had recently been diagnosed with diabetes, hypertension, and ulcers.
On Saturday, police arrested the taxi driver who had taken her to the hospital over suspicions that he may be hiding crucial information.
The driver told her family that he took Mildred to the health facility and left soon after.
However, CCTV footage showed the driver entering and immediately exiting without dropping anyone.
The Ruaraka Uhai Neema Hospital, administrators also told Nation that they had no record of Mildred being admitted at their facility.
