Video of Uhuru Lecturing CS Macharia, Chinese Contractor

President Uhuru Kenyatta has on several occasions lost his cool in public, and whenever he gets infuriated, the Head of State does not hold back but opts to deal with it fair and square.

In a video dating back to 2018, it is a Chinese contractor and Transport CS James Wainaina Macharia who crossed the president’s path.

The president had made a surprise visit to a Chinese construction site where he found the construction work had stalled.

The Head of State took issue with the matter demanding for answers from the CS and the Chinese contractor.

The CS tried to interject the President to save face for the Chinese but a seemingly infuriated Uhuru could hear none of it.

In defense, the officials from the Chinese company indicated that there was shortage of funding alleging that the project would be fast tracked had they received enough monies.

The video shows a background of what appears to be the 32-berth port where the first berth was expected to be complete by mid 2018 but suffered delays.

"How can you allow Ksh350 million a month for staying... You cannot allow this to happen again. This is what I keep telling you. How can you demobilize for a project that is three quarter complete," Uhuru quipped.

Uhuru reminded CS Macharia that it was pointless to commission new projects when the current ones remained incomplete.

He also demanded for a specific completion date from the CS and the day when the Chinese would resume construction works at the site.
