Three Standard 8 girls have gone missing after they got a ride from a bodaboda rider in Nyali, Mombasa county.

The three, two boarders and a day scholar were taken from a boarding school in the area by a boda boda rider on Wednesday 13, 2019.

The man came and took our children. When I asked the watchman, he told us they had gone to buy viazi [potatoes]. This is the third day, I can't sleep or eat. I urge the Inspector General of police or Interior [CS] Fred Matiang'i to help us,” cried a mother of one of the abducted girls.

Speaking to Nation, the mother of one of the girls, Emily Nanjala, confirmed that she had reported the issue to Nyali Police Station under Occurrence Book Number 26/14/3/19

My daughter, a 13-year-old girl left home on Wednesday morning but she never came back home. I reported the matter to the police station and to date no one has helped me. My daughter might be killed or anything might happen to her,” the mother added.

Relatives of the missing girls were at dog section of Kisauni where they had gone to conduct a citizens arrest of the alleged abductor.

The parents of Rise and Shine Primary School want the school management to explain the whereabouts of their daughter and how they got out of school.
