Mohammed Ali Blasts Kenyan Government for Abandoning the National Netball Team

Nyali MP Mohammed Ali on Saturday revealed how the Sri Lankan government came to the rescue of the Kenyan national netball team.

Taking to Twitter, the first-time legislator disclosed that the team had been abandoned by local authorities.

Luckily, the Sri Lankan government sponsored them fully for their tournament in the country.

"Kenyan netball national team fully sponsored by Sri Lanka government for their tournament in that country.

"Met them at Bangkok Airport. No Kenyan media is aware neither the ministry. It's really painful and shameful," he wrote.

Mohammed's post elicited mixed reactions from netizens. Many were not happy that the team had been forsaken in their time of need.

Paul Kamau wrote, "Refund the stipend you were given to watch world cup Russia which to date you haven't accounted for then you can start rattling of how they have been ignored."

Ras Amani posted, "Great to have brought the issue to light. Please raise it even further when you go back to parliament."

Njio Shango commented, "What more have you done apart from posing for a photo with them? How have you helped them?"
