Homeboyz Suspends Didge Over Remarks on Ivy Wangechi's Murder

Homeboyz Radio was forced to suspend one of its popular presenters after he made disparaging remarks over the murder of the medical student, Ivy Wangechi, who was hacked to death.

The station, through a statement on social media, revealed that it had suspended Didge after they reviewed an audio from the show Mtaani and determined that it was in poor taste.

The statement further revealed that the entire show, which is presented by Didge, Jaymo Ule Msee, a presenter identified as Miss Katiwa, and graced by Dj Demakufu, would no longer be on air until further notice.

"After reviewing the show recording, we have found the comments made to be in extremely poor taste and apologise without reservation.

"We have removed the show from the schedule pending further internal investigation. The presenter in question has also been immediately suspended by the station," read the statement in part.

It was revealed that Didge declared that Wangechi deserved what happened to her because she was not loyal.

“Yeah, ali-deadi juu hakuwa loyal, sindio? (She died because she wasn’t loyal. That is the honest truth, right?)” Didge is claimed to have declared.

Confirming exclusively to Kenyans.co.ke, DJ Demakufu, the Deejay of the show, revealed that Mtaani was no longer on air.

Friends of the slain student, who was hacked to death on Tuesday, narrated that his assailant had trailed her for nearly a year after she declined to be his girlfriend.

She was hit with an axe inside the compound of Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital. It was reported that the assailant waited until she was dead before he attempted to flee the scene.
