Last Customer Bob Collymore Helped Before His Demise

After news of his passing on Monday, many leaders came forward to eulogize him Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore as a man who exudes excellence in whatever he undertook.

Being Safaricom CEO, Collymore took pride in connecting with his customers and being responsive to their needs, taking feedback to improve on the services.

His caring nature could be seen in how he related to the telco's customers especially those who raised concerns on social media platforms.

On Saturday, a tweep, Duncan Ng'enda, sought Bob's intervention for difficulty in accessing services after migrating to the network.

In response, the late telco boss apologised for the inconvenience to the new customer and assured that the issue would be looked into.

"Sorry about this, it should not be your experience. Please give us a chance to fix it, you will not regret it. Can you DM your details to @Safaricom_Care," Collymore wrote back.

On the same day, Bob, being a humanitarian signed a petition to demand the criminalisation of rape in Senegal. "Together, we can put an end to gender-based violence," he stated.

The petition was floated online following the rape and murder of two women in Senegal, by artist and campaigner Black Queen.

Keen on impacting development in the county, Collymore served in two State corporations.

He served in the boards of Kenya Vision 2030 and the National Cancer Institute.
