Police on Friday morning raided Memphis club off Thika Superhighway and arrested its manager, Eliud Gitonga.
A report by K24TV indicated that during the raid, the officers confiscated 28 pots of the banned shisha product and other suspected illicit drugs.
The manager was apprehended together with an employee on grounds of the sale and consumption of shisha was banned in 2017 by the government.
Kasarani DCIO Meme Mwenda, confirmed the incident noting that the raid occurred following a tip-off from the residents that the joint was being used for illegal activities such as robbery and drug trade.
Some of the substances nabbed were taken by anti-narcotics officers for testing.
The suspects were held at Kasarani Police Station awaiting arraignment on Monday, July 8.
Earlier in April, DCI detectives from Kasarani Police Station arrested 34 illegal immigrants for allegedly peddling drugs in the area.
The 33 Nigerians and 1 Eritrean were posing as students from the nearby United States International University (USIU) and Kenyatta University (KU).
Speaking at the time, Mwenda revealed that the foreigners had set up businesses near the universities with the intent to distribute the drugs.
The proprietor of a popular night club behind the Thika Road Mall (TRM) was also arrested on the allegation that he was aiding the immigrants.
