Ruto's Ally Unleashes Daring Response to Uhuru Over Early Campaigns [VIDEO]

A legislator allied to Deputy President William Ruto has vowed to continue drumming up support for him despite being warned by President Uhuru Kenyatta to desist from early campaigns.

While speaking at a function in Chwele, Bungoma constituency, Sirisa MP John Waluhke stated that no one can stop them from politicking since it's their work.

"We can't forget about 2022. No one can stop us from politicking, we don't sell mandazis, we don't sell charcoal, neither are we teachers who educate pupils in schools.

"Our work is politics and we must campaign for Ruto for the 2022 presidency. No one will stop us," he asserted.

His remarks came in the wake of a warning by President Uhuru against politicians who were engaging in early campaigns.

Speaking at Kasarani Stadium during the 2019 Akorino Annual Convention, a visibly angry Uhuru accused the politicians of sabotaging his agenda and vowed to hit back at the right time.

“These thugs that we elected are busy politicking. They should not think I am their boy, they will not stop me from constructing roads.

"They didn’t look for votes on my behalf. I went looking for my votes. These rubbish should stop bothering me,” Uhuru stated.

His remarks were seen as targeting MPs who have been accompanying Ruto on his countrywide tours and drumming up support for his 2022 presidential bid.
