Ken Okoth Warms Crowd With Bongo Song

Kibra MP Ken Okoth warmed hearts during the annual Kibra Music Festival on Sunday after he sang a few words of Rich Mavoko's song, Roho Yangu.

The MP, who jetted back to the country over the weekend from France, was thanking Timothy Wanyonyi, an ODM affiliated politician, whom he stated had brought bursary cheques to the school-going children at a time he was undergoing treatment.

"Hayo maneno walinena wazee wa zamani, ukiwa mjanja kuchapiwa ni siri ya ndani..." he sang.

The extract basically states that it is wise to listen to the words of our forefathers.

He further stated that he respected the politician because whenever he asked for help, he was always there to support him.

"You are my elder, my mentor and whenever there is anything needed in Kibra, I pray that you come and help," the Kibra MP expressed.

He also thanked Nairobi Senator Johnston Sakaja for stepping in and ensuring his various projects took off during his absence.

"Our children have immeasurable talent; it's a joy to give them a platform to showcase these talents on stage through song, dance, and poetry," he remarked.

In February this year, Okoth disclosed his cancer diagnosis, stating that the condition was discovered late and that it could not be cured but only managed.
