Miguna Raises Pertinent Issues to Uhuru Over Rotich's Arrest

Seemingly dissatisfied with the arrest of Treasury Cabinet Secretary, Henry Rotich, controversial lawyer, Miguna Miguna, has raised some pertinent questions towards President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Taking to social media on Monday night, Miguna insinuated that the arrest was a making of the handshake and that it was a repeat of the political battles that Kenya's first President, Jomo Kenyatta, and his Vice President, Jaramogi Oginga, engaged in while they were in power.

The embattled lawyer further argued that there were many corruption cases, whose suspects got away without trial including Goldenberg and Angloleasing.

"MPs and the mediocre and compromised media are falling over each other with praise of Uhuru's PR arrests," Miguna's post read in part.

He wondered why some suspects involved in Goldenberg, Anglo Leasing, NYS, Eurobond, SGR, IEBC scandals were still free.

"Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga are engaged in silly political games; the same games Jomo Kenyatta played against Jaramogi Oginga Odinga from 1964 to 1969 when weapon caches would mysteriously appear in Jaramogi's homes and offices," he added.

Ever since his deportation in 2018, Miguna has been critical of the state and its affairs especially since Uhuru shook hands with Raila.

On July 2, the outspoken lawyer accused Raila of receiving money from Uhuru in exchange for his support and called him a self-seeker.

In his latest highlight, CS Rotich was taken into custody on Monday, and spent the night at Muthaiga Police Station, over the now infamous Arror and Kamwarer dams scandal.

Rotich and 28 other people reportedly aided in the mismanagement of the funds and, in some instances, even doubled the costs to cover their tracks.

Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Noordin Haji, revealed that he has a watertight case against the suspects, complete with evidence to back up his claims.
