Angry Youth Confront Governors at Top City Hotel [VIDEO]

On Tuesday, a group of angry youth stormed the entrance of Sarova Stanley Hotel in Nairobi, allegedly demanding money from governors who were inside.

The governors were staying at the posh hotel, ahead of the hearing of the Division of Revenue Bill case, at the Supreme Court, by Chief Justice David Maraga.

In the video seen by Kenyans.co.ke, a woman who is purported to be the ring leader, was seen arguing with uniformed police officers.

“We are not children!” she shouted back as she rallied the crowd to leave the premises.

Security officers at the hotel were uptight on who they let into the hotel, as the police commanded the crowd to move away from the hotel.

One guy clad in a suit, urged the youth to be patient as he tried to convince the security to let him sort out the issue.

It was not established why the crowd was demanding money from the county bosses.

However, the guy in the suit was heard stating that the youth were angry and were not pleased by the outcome.

Nairobi, wa Nairobi wako wapi?Walikasirika wakaenda? (Nairobi. Where are the youth from Nairobi? Did they get angry and decided to leave?)” the guy inquired.

He went on to rant to the youth, defending himself against an accusation that he wasn’t helping them.

“What do I do? It’s not my business? If you have a closer look, you’ll see that I have also been locked out just like you,” he stated.
