Former Gatanga MP, Peter Kenneth, lay his mother, Rahab Wambui Muhuni, to rest on Thursday.
The ceremony was attended by President Uhuru Kenyatta, DP William Ruto, Raila Odinga among other high profile dignitaries.
Also present were members of the 'boys club'; WPP Scangroup CEO Bharat Thakrar, Radio Africa Group CEO Patrick Quarcoo, and KCB CEO Joshua Oigara.
However, missing from the occasion was Citizen TV anchor Jeff Koinange.
Jeff, who earlier in the day bagged the number one spot on the Top 100 journalists in Kenya ranking, flew out of the country before the ceremony and couldn't make it.
The celebrated journalist revealed that he received the news of his ranking while in transit to the West African coast of Liberia.
Via his social media, he stated, "On my way to Liberia and just received this humbling news. Wow! Folks. I am lost for words! thank you form the bottom of my heart!"
The boys club had earlier in the month come together for the memorial service of Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore.
Jeff even hosted the other members on his JKLive show where they shed light on Bob's private life and some of the memorable moments they shared.
During the broadcast, the crew announced that Thakar would replace Bob as their new leader.
"If he can't fit in the shoes he'll have to buy new shoes," Kenneth joked at the time.
