MP Sends President's Sister to Beg Uhuru

On Friday, Kiharu Member of Parliament, Ndindi Nyoro, sent President Uhuru Kenyatta’s sister, Kristina Pratt, to plead with the president on his behalf.

Nyoro, a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto, was speaking at an event in his backyard, where he had invited Kristina.

“Sometimes we talk a lot and maybe out of context, but we do so out of being young. Tell him, if he has a friend he can count on, then it is me, and my constituents know it.

“Anywhere I get a chance, I have to tell the people what your brother our president has done,” Nyoro pleaded.

The legislator further revealed his admiration for Uhuru.

“We love him and If he gets a chance, let him visit us,” Nyoro requested.

His pleas moved the president’s sister, who inclined to his request.

“Thank you for recognising what the president has done for this country,” Kristina responded.

Last month, the MP disclosed that there were plans to arrest him over the management of the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) where he had previously worked as Chairman.

NG-CDF is a body corporate falling under the Ministry of Devolution and Planning. The body ensures that budgetary provisions and offers policy direction to the fund.
