Raila Discloses Secret Relationship With Laboso's Family [VIDEO]

ODM Party Leader, Raila Odinga, on Saturday, revealed that he is a distant relative of the late Bomet Governor, Joyce Laboso.

While speaking during the funeral service of the deceased governor, the AU envoy disclosed that he is related to the family by the virtue of marriage.

"I know what the Abonyo family has gone through. I am also related to them because his sister Dorothy is married to my nephew," he explained.

He then asked her to stand up and wave to the crowd.

Odinga also urged the new governor of Bomet to elect a woman as his deputy explaining that he had no choice.

"I've seen the female governors passionately begging that the deputy governor should appoint a woman as his deputy. That is not an issue really.

"When a woman was a governor, a man was his deputy. Now that she has left the position, it's automatic that a woman will become the deputy," he added.

He explained that such a move was necessary because women face many disadvantages unlike men.

Odinga described Laboso as heroine who scaled great heights, adding that the country needs more women with her leadership skills.
