Watch Video of Gov Waititu Zip Lining

Kenyans.co.ke has landed on a video of Kiambu Governor, Ferdinand Waititu, zip-lining over a forest in Kiambu.

The event, which occurred around March 2019, thrilled the governor as he appeared to enjoy the audacious trip, despite being perturbed at first.

Waititu enjoyed the venturesome activity at Kereita Forest, a commercial zip lining business hub.

“It was a good adventure. We are looking forward to protecting this and other areas within Kimabu which serve as our tourist attraction centres,” a courageous Waititu stated.

An official from the area revealed that the governor had visited the site to check out on how tourism was thriving in the area.

“The governor had so much fun. He did two zip lines alongside some members of his Tourism department,” a senior official from Kereita told this writer on phone.

Waititu recently expressed his softer side when he promised to pay bail for inmates he shared a cell with at Industrial Area Prison.

Speaking to Kenyans.co.keKarungo Wa Thang'wa, Kiambu CEC for Youth, Sports and Communications, disclosed that he had gone to visit the embattled governor in prison.

"He promised to pay bail for those that he shared a cell with once he is out. Some couldn't raise Ksh 5,000 or Ksh 10,000 thus spending months at the prison," Karungo Wa Thang'wa stated.

The governor was released from Industrial prison and is a battling a court case barring him from visiting his office, after he was charged over Ksh588 million irregular tender, alongside eight others implicated in the procurement law violation.

He stated that he had talks with his deputy, James Nyoro, who still recognised his executive powers as governor
