EXCLUSIVE: Kriss Darling's Next Move After Losing Nominations, NTV Job

Popular entertainer, DJ Kriss Darlin, spoke out after losing the Orange Democratic Movement's Kibra nomination to Imran Okoth, stating that he totally supports the flag bearer and hopes that he floors Jubilee's McDonald Mariga.

"Life has to go on and I have to do my job as that was what I was before. I am an entertainer and entertainment never stops," Kriss told Kenyans.co.ke on phone on Tuesday, September 10.

The endeared DJ went on to rally his fans and Kibra as a whole to uphold peace before, during and after the elections.

"Since Imran was given the certificate, I have to support him because he is one of us and he is from Kibra. What happened with the nomination is in the past and we are marshalling for peace as we do not want our own people fighting.

"Everyone has to go back to work and live as brothers and sisters by sharing a meal and ideas that will make Kibra a good place," he urged.

Kriss lost his job at NTV after he declared his interest in the Kibra by-election. However, he stated that his fans should be patient as his entertainment label Dohty Family was still actively involved in entertainment and event organisation.

"We have plans and they should not worry. I am the one who left but Dohty Family is still under contract with NTV," the DJ assured.

On Sunday, September 25, the former NTV presenter excited a crowd when he knelt before former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, in an attempt to get his favour for the ODM ticket.

He then urged Odinga to hold his hand promising that if he were to win the race, he would have fought for Raila while in Parliament since he had learnt that a group of young MPs were against him.

He further declared that he was ready to take a bullet for the former premier if that would let him lead the country in 2022.

The move ignited disparate reactions as some praised him for his courageous move while others blasted him for 'worshipping' Raila
