DP Ruto Curses Out Daily Nation Over Controversial Article

Deputy President William Ruto, on Thursday, October 3, blasted the Daily Nation over their headline which tainted his image.

His attention was drawn to the cover story on the newspaper, which was titled "Murumbi Land Ownership Row Haunts Ruto."

Taking to twitter DP Ruto dismissed the story and explained that the media was being used as a tool to tarnish his name.

"The now persistent, obviously sponsored fake news by hired bankrupt media that finds it difficult to make a sale without the name Ruto. Bure Kabisa. Riswa!" he stated.

According to the local publication, a lobby group wants the DP investigated over what they termed as an irregular acquisition of a vast ranch near the Maasai Mara.

The Nation went on to claim that the county's second in command had purchased over 900 acres of prime land within the country's most famous game reserve, from former vice president Joseph Murumbi.

DP Ruto's latest disagreement with the media house comes barely a week since he blasted them over what he referred to as misleading and alarmist reporting.

He has also had several issues with the Standard publication, which he accused of being paid to push a pre-determined agenda.

"It is imperative that media should be guided by accuracy, truth and fair reporting," he remarked, going on to question the motive behind such controversial articles.
