Rogue Tout Beats Up Police Officer In Front of Crowd

An angry tout narrowed down on a police officer and beat him up in an ugly confrontation, pulling him out of his vehicle in a video seen by Kenyans.co.ke.

In the incident that topped the list of trending topics on social media on Thursday, October 3, the tout grabbed the officer from the back trying to shove him out of the matatu.

The officer hanged tightly onto the matatu handle as the crowd cheers him on, encouraging him to rough up the officer at Belle Vue Bridge, Mombasa Road, Nairobi.

The driver's request to his turnboy to desist from the act was in vain.

The officer being roughed up lost his patience and turned on the conductor and roughly slapped him.

He then pulled the touts trouser down, humiliating him in front of the crowd.

"You want to fight with me? Are you able to beat me up?" the police officer wondered as he got back into the passenger's front seat.

An onlooker then approached the tout and pleaded with him to calm down.

Passengers alighted from the matatu, leaving a woman seating between the driver and the police officer as the driver tried to drive away.

The conductor is seen persisting with his unwinnable fight against the police officer.

In July 2019, police in Nairobi hunted and arrested a driver who was caught on camera fighting with a police officer before taking off.

The incident which was caught on camera showed the officer in police uniform fighting with a driver before he was saved by well-wishers.
