Millie Odhiambo Unearths Plan to 'Steal' Kibra Votes [VIDEO]

Suba North Member of Parliament Millie Odhiambo on Sunday, October 13, disclosed what she called were plans to steal Kibra votes ahead of the November 7 by-election.

Speaking on K24's Punchline programme hosted by renowned presenter Anne Kiguta, Millie claimed the IEBC was already transferring votes from neighbouring constituencies in favour of Jubilee candidate McDonald Mariga.

"We have intelligence reports and based on those sources we told IEBC we are aware that 10,000 votes were being transferred from Langata to Kibra and about 2,000 from Dagoretti in favour of Mariga," she disclosed.

This was after Kiguta sought to understand why ODM believed that there could be electoral malpractice by the IEBC in favour of Mariga ahead of the Kibra poll.

The vocal MP went ahead to argue that the by-election would serve as a litmus test to "ensure that IEBC will do its work right especially since the commission has previously been accused of tampering with the voters' register."

The legislator also fiercely defended ODM Kibra candidate Benard 'Imran' Okoth after allegations that ODM had sponsored the recent violence in Kibra that saw Mariga's campaign convoy pelted with stones.

"Imran has not sponsored any violence, he is a humble person who has worked over the years with Kibra people," she stressed.

She also reiterated ODM's claim that the violence was sponsored by Mariga's camp in order to discredit Imran.

This came after a section of Jubilee leaders on Sunday, October 13, threatened to file a petition to IEBC to see Imran disqualified from the race after they accused ODM of sponsoring the Kibra violence in which Mariga escaped unharmed.
