Clever Trick That Raila Unleashes on Political Enemies - Khalwale [VIDEO]

Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale responded to ODM leader Raila Odinga's attack on Sunday, November 10, 2019

Speaking during AM Live show on Tuesday, November 12, Khalwale narrated that Raila was suave with his words, a skill that gives him an upper hand when addressing crowds.

"In politics, there is something called stagecraft. One of the best practitioners of stagecraft in the country is my brother Raila Odinga, and that is why you see him playing the imagery and all that," Khalwale stated.

Raila had narrated that outsiders had attempted to take over his bedroom but failed terribly.

He had uttered the statements when addressing a rally in Kibra on Sunday, November 10, where he thanked the area residents for electing ODM candidate Imran Okoth.

Khalwale narrated that Raila had adopted that trick numerous times to rally supporters behind him, and sometimes to the detriment of his political opponents.

"Don't you remember, Raila saying that Jubilee is a vehicle, that the driver is a drunkard and the conductor is a thief? The president did not take it to heart," he recounted.

"If the things we say in the podium were to be taken to heart, then you would end up killing people," Khalwale stated.

His statements were echoed by Kiambu Senator Kimani Wamatangi who recalled watching the Kibra thanksgiving rally on his way home from church.

"You cannot imagine how simple political rhetoric can become a mover of crowds. He was shouting 'bedroom', and the peope shouted back in enthusiasm. Suddenly, 'bedroom' has become powerful political rhetoric," he acknowleged.

Wamatangi gave Raila due credit for his catchy political phrases that have wowed his supporters over the years.

He alluded to Odinga's 2017 political slogans Tialala and Tibim which were widely used in the run up to the polls that were won by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
