Veteran Radio Citizen presenter, Fred Obachi Machoka on Saturday, December 7, was the star man at a colourful wedding ceremony held at his swanky ranch in Isinya, Kajiado county.
Smiles filled the faces of all in attendance including Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua and his Wife Lillyanne Ng'ang'a, as the Fred and his wife Sophie renewed their wedding vows to mark their 40th anniversary.
Machoka alias the blackest man in black Africa serenaded his wife with niceties as they hosted their close family and friends for their special event.
Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, Governor Mutua expressed his sheer admiration for the veteran presenter, going on to express his best of wishes to the couple.
"What a wedding at Fred's 'roga roga' ranch. It was a celebration of love and I congratulate my friend for reminding us that love conquers all," an ecstatic Mutua posted on twitter.
Christened Fred's Ranch and resort, the cowboy-themed ranch where the party was held specializes in barbecue cuisines and boasts activities like horse riding, quad biking, picnicking, farm tours and a vibrant children’s playground.
Uncle Obachi’s son, hotelier Victor Machoka, is the managing director of the ranch and is popularly referred to as ‘The Sheriff’ thanks to the traditional sheriff’s badge he dons to designate his post.
The legendary presenter has played host to several dignitaries and celebrities such as Raila Odinga and members of the ODM party on September 10, 2017.
President Uhuru Kenyatta has also been a guest at the ranch among other Kenyan celebrities including, Willy M Tuva, Willis Raburu and Daniel 'Churchill' Ndambuki.
However, his latest event was an invite-only affair as he said 'I do', to the love of his life for the 40th year in a row.
