Billionaire Chris Kirubi reached out to all Kenyans and gave advice on how he would like them to spend their new year 2020, after experiencing a tough 2019.
On Wednesday, December 18, Kirubi, through Capital FM, stated that he wished happiness for everyone as the holidays approached.
"It is a great opportunity for us to reflect on the blessings of the year gone by while looking forward to a more prosperous year ahead. he future may appear bleak but if we keep the faith and respond to the situation with positive and constructive actions, we can break out of the cycle and things can get better," Kirubi stated.
The tycoon went on to list a few things he wanted Kenyans to leave behind in order to succeed in 2020.
He affirmed that ego's make individuals miss out on opportunities and that one should be humble and work with others for a better future.
The media mogul also ask Kenyans to lower their false expectations as they can lead to disappointments.
"Keep your dreams and hope alive but stay practical. When you are honest with yourself you will avoid unnecessary setbacks," Kirubi stated.
He also urged individuals to choose friends wisely, emphasising on the need to have friends who embrace positivity.
According to the billionaire, Kenyans must also stop living in the past
and should also avoid comparing themselves with other people.
"Stay true to yourself, your aspirations and goals in life. Live your life to the best of your ability. Keep smiling, keep being positive and always remember we all have our own unique path in life.
"Your past will only be beneficial if you view it as valuable training. When we dwell too much on the past, our progress is minimal because we forget we have a future to focus on," Kirubi advised.
On health issues, he emphasised on the need to live a healthy life and visit the doctor for regular routine check-ups.
Everybody needs to check themselves and ensure their health is okay. Do not indulge in too much alcohol. You need to care for your life as you once lived once. Look after yourself and your family. I wish to see everybody happy and healthy. I wish you all a Happy Holiday Season," Kirubi proclaimed.
