Moses Kuria Tells Off Raila, Unveils His Squad

Special Envoy to UN Raila Odinga's interview on Citizen TV, appears to have sparked conversation among the political class for the better part of Saturday, December 28.

In his remarks, Raila questioned the source of Deputy President William Ruto's wealth and dared him to step aside to allow for investigations to be carried out.

A number of politicians allied to DP William Ruto took to social media to express their displeasure with Raila's sentiments.

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria sounded off on the ODM leader's comment stating that the Jubilee team had worked too hard to win the 2017 election only for Raila to dictate on how the government should be run.

"Today Raila is the one commanding our bedroom telling us who will remain and who will go. I refuse to board. As Ngugi wa Thiongo would say, 'Ngahika Ndeenda' (i will marry when I want)"

He also referenced the Mbele Iko Sawa campaign wagon which sought to mobilise their supporters to vote in the repeat election held on October 26, 2017.

It was named the Birthday edition as the vote was held on President Uhuru Kenyatta's birthday.

The Gatundu South MP was the chairman of the team while Ababu Namwamba was the team leader.

Other leaders who part of the squad included Murang'a Woman Representative Sabina Chege, Lang'ata MP Nixon Korir, Samburu West MP Naisula Lesuuda, Uasin Gishu Woman Rep Gladys Sholei, Nominated MP David Sankok, Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro, Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa, Nairobi County Speaker Beatrice Elachi among others.
