Ruto's Point Man Threatened in Fiery Video

An angry Mt Kenya resident could not hide his disdain for Deputy President William Ruto and his entourage, threatening to disrupt their meetings if they continued tarnishing President Uhuru Kenyatta's name.

In a Facebook video seen by Kenyans.co.ke on Wednesday, January 8, the man who identified himself as Joshua Mwangi Githinji, warned Kandara MP Alice Wahome, who is Ruto's point man in Mt Kenya, to refrain from attacking Kenyatta and even dared her to look for him in Kiharu, Murang'a County.

The legislator had sparked a debate on Kenyatta's alleged failure to fix the country's economic crisis.

"We have given the Tanga Tanga brigade two years to traverse Mt Kenya while speaking negatively about Kenyatta. We want to also inform them that we are in a new year, 2020, and we declare that if such is the road they will continue taking, none of their meetings will end peacefully.

"Be it a funeral, or church service, the moment they negatively mention Kenyatta without attributing his development record, then the meeting will end there and then," Mwangi proclaimed.

He went on to urge Ruto's allies to refrain from inciting the masses in Mt Kenya, and offer meaningful solutions to the government.

"You can't say that Uhuru should go and make laws, is he a legislator? Let an MP do his work and the president do his. Have they approached Kenyatta with bills to sign and he rejected them. Then they later cry that there is an issue with coffee and tea in Mt Kenya. There is tea also in Kericho, let them desist from inciting us," Mwangi added.

Another anonymous resident further urged the DP to control his confidants, arguing that he was the face behind the attacks on Kenyatta.

"When the DP stands to speak, he does not respond to the issues raised, as he is the government. He deviates and focuses on 2022 after his allies have spewed vitriols," he argued.

On Wednesday, January 8, former Kiambu Governor, William Kabogo, through his Facebook page,  while rallying Mt Kenya region to unite, argued that Kenyatta and Ruto were entwined and one could not separate them.

"If one fails, then all fail," Kabogo opined.
