Deputy President William Ruto was forced to cut short his speech at Mosoriot, Nandi County when he made a stopover to address a multitude that had converged.

On Friday, March 13, in a video he shared on Twitter, the DP was gifted a Bible by a man in the crowd, amid cheers.

Ruto, a devoted Christian, seized the moment to express his gratitude, proclaiming that he would use the Bible to fight his detractors.

"I thank you, Mosoriot residents, for purchasing and gifting me a Bible.

"I will use this bible to chase conmen, cartels and the devil. All those plotting my downfall will now face my wrath," Ruto exclaimed as the crowd cheered him on.

Blogger Dennis Itumbi, via Facebook on Saturday, March 14, further added that the DP shared a boiled maize snack with Mosoriot residents.

Ruto had earlier on warned legislators plotting to impeach him through Parliament, warning that the motion they were pushing was likely to backfire on them.

“I am freely advising those planning my impeachment in Nairobi that your underhand tactics will take you nowhere.

"Those of you who have been elected should go back and serve the voters otherwise that impeachment you are planning in Nairobi might turn back on you and get you impeached by wananchi, because you are serving your personal interests instead of serving them," Ruto proclaimed.

On Saturday, March 7, during the burial of Sergeant Kipyegon Kenei in Nakuru County, Ruto stated that he had resorted to seeking God's intervention in his woes after he was embroiled in former Sports CS Rashid Echesa's Ksh 40 billion fake guns scandal and the murder of his Kenei, attached to his office.

"The Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) has been mobilised, for political reasons, to discredit and destroy my office with all manner nonsense and to bring me down. Those in this scheme are boasting that I will not be there soon. Since the system cannot elect anybody, they can only kill. But there is God in heaven.

"Let me tell you, all those who killed this boy because of any reason will not have any peace until we find them. Those who are running this scheme, let me tell you that unless you kill me, I am not going to back down because the country belongs to all of us... I already know some of their plans that are coming in my future," Ruto lamented.
