Deputy President William Ruto on Sunday, October 4, fired back after Jubilee kick-started plans to evict him from the party.

Ruto was addressing a large crowd at Kenol in Murang'a after attending a fundraiser at the African Independent Pentecostal Church of Africa (AIPCA).

The Deputy President appeared to hit out at Jubilee Secretary General Raphael Tuju who on Friday, October 2, revealed plans to kick Ruto out of Jubilee.

"I was here with Uhuru Kenyatta campaigning for the Jubilee government, there are people calling me names now but were not here when the President was asking for votes.

"They think that we are stupid, they have met at Pangani and say they want to evict me from Jubilee, are they the ones supposed to be in Jubilee or I am the one?" asked Ruto.

The Jubilee Deputy Party Leader added that he will support President Uhuru Kenyatta as he completes the two years left in his term.

Ruto noted that he was more than capable of succeeding Uhuru come the 2022 General Elections, and that he has on numerous occasions stated his ambitions to vie for the top seat.

Tuju on Friday, October 2, announced that Ruto ceased to be Deputy Party Leader the moment he sanctioned the opening of the Jubilee Asili Centre.

"We would like to be absolutely clear, that we serve one President at a time.

"The DP, a self-declared 2022 presidential candidate, will not be allowed to use the party headquarters as the centre of operationalisation for his campaigns and for intimidation,"  said Tuju.

Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen also hit out at Tuju reminding him that he was not part of Jubilee and had his own outfit known as Party of Action (POA).
