At the same time, 376 patients were discharged, bringing the total number of recoveries to 27,035.

Of recovered patients, 360 are from the home-based care program while 16 are from hospitals across the country.

Regrettably, 4 patients succumbed to the disease bringing the total number of deaths to 735.

The new cases were distributed across the counties as detailed below:

Nairobi 18, Meru 2, Nakuru and Kiambu 1.

CAS Aman also revealed that 1,029 healthcare workers have so far tested positive for Covid-19.

He also highlighted the laxity in adherence to the Ministry's health and safety protocols, following President Uhuru Kenyatta's announcement on October 28.

"If we continue along that line then we are certainly going to experience a second spike in our trajectory, which would mean more restrictions will be implemented," he warned.
