KTN news anchor and presenter Ken Mijungu has ventured into a helicopter charter business as an extension to his car renting services.

Through his social media pages, the journalist revealed that the helicopter charter (a business of renting out an entire aircraft as opposed to individual aircraft seats) will set one back USD 1,700 (Ksh186, 065) for just an hour.

"The choppers operate all over the country, they are based at Wilson, 5 at our disposal plus a private jet. We target anyone who loves luxury," Mijungu told Kenyans.co.ke.

He indicated that his company targets wealthy businessmen and politicians, adding that there has been an increased demand ahead of the 2022 elections.

"Most people who rent out the choppers are politicians but also individuals who want to get to their location using minimal time."

To put the matter to perspective, if a politician, an entrepreneur, or a couple were to rent it to attend an event that lasts four hours, they would have to part with Ksh744,260.

The media personality indicated that he was also leasing out high-end 4x4s, yacht and private jets.

"Want to surprise someone, want to land in style literally?" he posted, going ahead to encourage his fans to use the services.

Mijungu is the founder of Execar-tive CarHire, a private company that leases vehicles for events and executive transfers.

The company prides itself in delivery of top-of-the-range cars, luxurious small vehicles and spare parts in the easiest way possible.

"We have top-of-the-range cars and have the ability to get you any that you want. Our prices are very competitive," reads part of the company's profile.

The enterprise imports vehicles from Japan, South Africa, Australia, Singapore, Dubai and the United Kingdom.

Some of their services include; airport to hotel executive transfer, city tours, long and short time motor vehicle leasing services, wedding cars, close protection, conference transfers, VIP and VVIP services.

Kenya is a good market for car hire businesses, especially since it is a regional hub and entrepreneurs can make a killing in VIP transfers for delegates who attend various conferences.
