ODM leader Raila Odinga and other dignitaries - who attended a festivity to celebrate laws passed to promote musicians - broke into laughter after CS Without Portfolio, Raphael Tuju's cracked a joke on the bottom-up economic approach.

"What is the bottom-up approach in Swahili? Maybe Peter Kenneth can translate for us," Tuju stated and left the crowd laughing after alluding that the module can be assumed to mean a human body part.

The explicit word has been censored in this article and cannot also be used during the watershed period on TV.

Musician Ben Githae excited ODM leader Raila Odinga with his football commentary, comparing the former Prime Minister to English Premier League midfielders N'golo Kante, Kevin de Bryune and Paul Pogba.

Raila, Royal Media Services owner SK Macharia and other politicians graced a festival to celebrate the progress made in the music sector, this included President Uhuru Kenyatta signing into law proposals that exempted artists from the 25 percent excise duty proposed in the Finance Bill.

The event was held at Macharia's home in Gatanga, Murang'a County on Tuesday, July 27.

Githae argued that prior to the changes fronted by Homa Bay Woman Representative Gladys Wanga that rescued artists, the musicians were like renowned Arsenal FC which is famous for playing beautiful football but losing the match.

Finance Committee chair Gladys Wanga while pushing for the amendments in Parliament stated that artists benefited little while mobile operators took the lion's share as listeners downloaded their music.

"I know that you, your excellency (Raila Odinga), is an Arsenal and Gor Mahia fan. We artists were like Arsenal which fails to win games after playing skillfully.

"It has not won any major cup, from Premier League to Uefa Champions League. We artists contribute a lot to our work, are dedicated and we sacrifice too, but end up being curtailed by stringent laws," Githae stated.

Like Chelsea, famous for hiring and firing managers based on output and winning ratios, Githae stated that they changed their head coach by approaching Macharia.

Macharia signed Raila - a creative player who, like Manchester City's De Bruyne, Chelsea's Kante and Manchester United's Pogba, changed the game.

"Baba (Raila) as the captain asked us to proceed to half time and proposed that we introduce a defender. Wanga came in and defended us against the Treasury in Parliament.

"Baba passed the ball to our striker, Uhuru, who scored and we won the match and lifted the Premier League. We now want to win the Champions League and this will happen if all Collective Management Organisations (CMOs) are regulated," Githae stated as a visibly excited Raila smiled in silence.

Raila, earlier on, lauded artists for their creativity, with his morning tweet on Mejja's song resonating with his followers and the youth.

“Mejja’s Tabia za Wakenya hit was playing somewhere this morning and it got me thinking it is true! Masaa na Mkenya lazima atachelewa lakini sherehe? Our musicians are very creative. Wonderful week ahead fellow countrymen,” the former Prime Minister wrote.

"Am currently in Ndakaini, Murang'a County for the thanksgiving ceremony, I quickly remember this group of young Kenyans Mbogi Genje, who are doing a wonderful job. Their latest hit featuring Khaligraph titled Warena is greatly artistic. Music made in Kenya," Siaya Senator James Orengo added.

Artists for years have also been in a battle with CMOs such as the Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK) which was accused of paying the musicians peanuts as royalties.
