President Uhuru Kenyatta has sent his condolences to the family of Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha following the loss of his brother, Charles Agunga Magoha.
The news was announced through the State House social platforms on Wednesday, September 1.
According to the notice, Agunga passed on Tuesday, August 31 in Sweden, Europe.
"His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta has condoled with the family of Education Cabinet Secretary Prof George Magoha following the death of his brother Charles Agunga Magoha in Sweden on Tuesday, 31st August 2021," read the State House notice.
The cause of death was, however, not revealed.
Netizens took to their platforms to condole with the CS's family, as they sent their words of encouragement.
Not much is known in regards to Magoha's brother who was living in Sweden. The Education CS has managed to keep his family life out of the limelight.
Magoha's other siblings include John Obare, Andrew Oduol, Pauline Dola who is the Kakamega County Commissioner.
The Education CS rose to the public eye when he was appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nairobi and due to his reputable nature, he became the chairman of the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC)in 2016.
In March 2019, he replaced Amina Mohamed, current Sports CS, as the Cabinet Secretary for Education.
