Former Nairobi Governor, Mike Mbuvi Sonko, could not hide his joy as he penned down a congratulatory message to his last-born daughter Sandra Mbuvi.

Sonko, on the night of Monday, October 25, took to social media to show his appreciation for Sandra Mbuvi’s hard work, which had finally paid off.

Mbuvi has been nominated as the Brand Influencer of the year for the Scream Africa Women Awards 2021. She is an online entrepreneur and fashion model who uses her platform to promote her work.

“Dear Sandra Mbuvi, Your hard work finally paid off. I feel so proud of you, my daughter, congratulations on your nominations as brand influencer of the year. Your achievements and creativity have done all this. May you bag this,” excited Sonko stated.

She is competing for the title amongst Africa’s bigwig influencers such as  Zari Hassan (Uganda), Nengi Hampson (Nigeria), Scarlett Duchess (Nigeria), Fahyvanny (Tanzania), Naija Brandchick(Nigeria) and  Uriel Oputa(Nigeria).

Sonko then called on Kenyans to support his daughter to win the award by voting for her through the awards website.

“Voting is ongoing via the link below. I beseech my people, nawaomba watu wangu muvote (please vote).”

Still drumming support for his daughter, Sonko promised to recognise individuals who would vote for her.

True to his words, on Tuesday, October 26, he shared a video seen by Kenyans.co.ke appreciating one of those who showed support, adding that he would support him.

The video was followed by a caption directed to those who took the time to vote for his last born daughter Mbuvi.

“Good morning, watu wangu (my people). I would like to thank all of you who took the time to vote for my daughter Sandra Mbuvi. Asanteni sana (Thank you very much),” Sonko stated.

However, the nominees' voting process is still ongoing until November 15, and the event will take place next month, where the winners will be announced.
