As news anchors grace our televisions screens every day, it is difficult to fathom the amount of work it takes to look as glamorous as they do.

Television journalists are sparing no expense to look their best which hence accrues to large amounts of money, as seen where they grace our television screens.

A number of journalists have remarked that cost is not one of their biggest concerns when it comes to their appearance and they prefer going all out to look their best on TV.

NTV news anchor Fridah Mwaka who is known for her stylish look confirmed to Kenyans.co.ke that she purchases the high quality suits and dresses that she dons during the live bulletin.

She remarked that her employer, Nation Media Group, also foots the cost of her clothes in her wardrobe allowance, hence saving her from coughing up too much money for the expensive outfits.

Lulu Hassan and Rashid Abdalla are dressed by renowned suitmaker George Ouma of GjeyMavazi Designs, who makes their bespoke suits. He has also worked with other journalists such as Larry Madowo.

The power couple works in collaboration with different designers who create their amazing outfits, in a bid to push their brands to interested clients.

In fact Lulu won the Couture Africa Most Stylish Female TV & Radio Personality Award in October 2020.

Some of the outfits are given to the anchors by designers who in turn benefit from the free marketing.

It comes as no surprise that revered TV journalist Jeff Koinange being the highest-paid media personality in Kenya actually affords to buy himself his expensive suits.

He has quite the expensive taste, as he wears bespoke suits for every live bulletin and is known to own a Kshs2.2 million Ermenegildo Zegna piece.

He prides himself in owning iconic pieces from brands such as Hugo Boss and Georgio Armani.

In addition to that, he owns a Rolex Submariner that costs Ksh1.35 Million(based on a spot check on e-commerce site Amazon) that complements his elegant look.
