Nairobi Water Announces Job Opportunities: How to Apply

The Nairobi Water and Sewerage Company Limited (NAWASCO) on Friday, November 12, announced 89 vacant positions that it seeks to fill.

In an advertisement in a local daily, the company indicated that it was looking for self-motivated, qualified, competent, seasoned and talented professionals.

Additionally, the company stated that the professionals should be able to operate in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

Some of the advertised positions include Management Trainee - Cibila Engineer (14), Management Trainee - Electrical Engineer (2), Management Trainee - Mechanical/Industrial/Production Engineer (6), Management Trainee - Surveyor (2).

Others are Engineer Assistants (30), Electrical Assistants (4), Machanical Assistants (10), Water and Waste Water Operators (10), Survey Assistant (7), Legal Officer - Dispute Resolution (3) and Legal Officer - Corporate Services.

Applicants were asked to attach a detailed CV with three referees, their contacts, testimonials and copies of academic and professional qualifications, email address and quote the reference number.

"The envelope should be sealed and properly labeled on top with the job ref of the position for which you are applying," reads an except of the advertisement.

NCWSC is an independently run subsidiary of Nairobi City County tasked with the primary responsibility of providing and managing water and sewerage services in Nairobi.

On the other hand, Athi Water Works Development Agency (AWWDA) is charged with the responsibility of developing key water and sewerage infrastructure. 

The Company is mandated to provide clean water and sewerage services to the residents of Nairobi City County, in a financially sustainable manner and within Government regulations.
