Kenyans who applied for the 500 Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) Enforcement Constable jobs can now check if they are shortlisted for the positions.
In a statement shared on Monday, November 29, NMS, which is headed by Major General Mohammed Badi, announced that interviews were slated for Wednesday, December 1 and Thursday, December 2, 2021.
A total of 2,113 individuals were shortlisted for the enforcement officers job with the first lot of 1,063 individuals scheduled for interviews on December 1 at 8:00 a.m.
The other lot of 1,050 is scheduled for interviews on Thursday beginning at 8:00 a.m. Both exercises will take place at The City Stadium.
How to Check Shortlisting and Interview Requirements
All applicants are encouraged to visit www.nms.go.ke, toggle to the Resources section and proceeds to the downloads section where the two lists have been published.
The shortlisted candidates are also advised to check the date on which their name falls and show up for interviews without fail.
"The list of the shortlisted candidates has been published in the NMS website and members of the public are therefore advised to visit: www.nms.go.ke for the full list.
"The shortlisted candidates are required to appear for the interviews and physical checks at the City Stadium premises on the date and time indicated against their names," read the statement in part.
All interviewees must also carry with them an original National Identification Card (ID), relevant academic certificates and a valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
The participants will also be required to participate in physical exercise and were advised to have appropriate sportswear.
In mid-October, NMS, in association with City Hall, announced that it was hiring 500 enforcement officers to boost the department which was grappling with an acute shortage of workers.
The county had set aside Ksh180 million as the budget for the recruitment of the new officers popularly known as 'kanjo'.
According to a communication from City Hall, the county was set to hire the officers in phases as the administration endeavours to have enough officers to deal with hawkers, parking boys, muggers and petty offenders.
