While the Yaya Centre route entails pick ups and drop offs at Serena, Integrity Centre, Chancery, Maktaba Kuu, Nairobi Hospital, D.O.D, Hurlingham, Chaka Place, Yaya Centre.

"The buses also pick passengers at the same points in the evenings and drops them off at the Nairobi Central station as they take the train back home," read part of the statement from KR.

The commuter bus has been an affordable means for many passengers. The buses have also come in handy when the demand for trains is high and are full to capacity.

This was evident on Christmas eve when the corporation opted to use the buses to transport hundreds passengers who were left stranded after arriving at the Nairobi-Nanyuki station.

This is after the route had been totally sold out even as Kenyans travelled to various destinations for the festivities. The travelers were charged the same amount as that of the train. According to the train price schedule, Kenya Railways charges Ksh200 for economy class from Nairobi to Nanyuki.

The corporation announced that the train service would still work after Christmas day to enable Kenyans to travel back to the city.
