Capital Group Chairperson Mary-Ann Musangi, announced the new Managing Director at Capital FM.
In a statement shared by Capital FM on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, Musangi named Feisal Baghazal will assume the role at the Nairobi based media house.
She noted that Feisal had the skills and will to operate the company with progressive leadership and business management.
“Mr Feisal brings a wealth of experience with over 15 years of progressive leadership, business management, sales and marketing,” the Capital Group Chairperson stated.
Via his LinkedIn, Feisal describes himself as a results-driven leader, adept at leading multi-cultural teams, developing potential, managing supply chains and driving strategic planning.
"As an empowering team motivator with excellent interpersonal skills, I've led large teams across Africa and Asia to deliver on targets and achieve ambitious business goals," the newly confirmed MD stated.
He noted that he attended training programs in South Africa, the USA and Germany which have given him a wealth of experience to offer a globally-informed approach to strategy development with a deep understanding of effective practices.
He previously worked as the Chief Growth Officer at Highlands where he was tasked with creating strong alignment across categories and regional teams to optimize resource allocation, minimize duplication, and jump-start innovation.
"I planned, organised, and coordinated functions to achieve maximum profitability and efficient workflow processes while developing internal policies and procedures.
"Leveraging proven financial expertise I also identified opportunities to grow and drove performance, ensuring business and revenue expansion through metrics like revenue, social ROIs, and employee engagement. Essential to this role was applying my engaging interpersonal skills to collaborate and liaise with C-level leadership to advance growth initiatives," Feisal stated.
Among his key accomplishments in this role, Feisal noted that he managed to engage and motivate teams, roll out catalyst forums country-wide, achieve EBITDA positive status, and double market shares.
The Capital FM MD stated that he also triumphed in "securing sustainable growth for shareholders and transforming a loss-making business to a highly profitable one and delivering significant revenue growth and achieving the best people engagement scores".
