Azimio La Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga's rally was temporarily halted after chaos broke out on Saturday, June 25.
The former Prime Minister and his running mate Martha Karua were yet to arrive at the rally held at the Mandera Stadium.
Supporters who were holding banners and posters supporting Mandera East Member of Parliament Omar Maalim of United Democratic Movement (UDM) clashed with those of his rival Hussein Weytan of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).

Preliminary reports indicated that no one was injured during the clashes as the law enforcement officers intervened.
Raila and his running mate, Martha Karua, later on, addressed the residents after calm was restored.
"Our administration will use manufacturing complemented by agriculture, livestock, the blue economy, and ICT as the key engines for the envisaged economic revolution and the apparatus for development," he pledged.
The chaos comes a few days after supporters of Marsabit Governor Mohamud Ali and those affiliated with Treasury CS Ukur Yattani clashed in Marsabit.
Rival groups threw stones at the dais - forcing the bodyguards of both Yattani and Ali to shield and evacuate them.
To address the issue of rivals clashing within the Azimio Coalition faction, the top leaders led by Raila emphasised the need to iron out regional leadership.
The Coalition detailed that it was planning to only field strong candidates to consolidate its votes.
The alliance has a total of 26 parties, with most fielding candidates in most elective positions. However Karua explained that the coalition needs to pick only strong candidates but in a transparent manner.
"As a coalition, we have to get the strongest candidate to ensure we win in most of the positions but candidates should not be afraid as the process will accommodate everyone," she explained.Azimio running mate Martha Karua addressing supporters during a rally in Laikipia County on Wednesday, June 22, 2022.Martha Karua
