In the beginning, Nyokabi introduces Karua as he mimics the Narc Kenya leader on the campaign trail as the musicians join in the song's chorus.

Karua is later filmed alongside other musicians and video vixens dancing to the beats as she carries a baby.

"Mama, Mama Kenya mama usinitenge, unijenge mama. Mama, Mama Kenya mama umetoka mbali we usichoke mama (loosely translated to - Mother, Mother of Kenya do not sideline me but mould me, Mother, Mother of Kenya do not give up because you have come from far)," read the lyrics in part.

Activist Boniface Mwangi, while sharing the video, stated that it was Karua's idea to involve the TikTok influencer in the video that was shot over the weekend.

"Martha Karua loves music and last week she joined Sally, Grace, Jecinta, and Fena for the recording of the Heko Mama music video. She made sure harooo man joined her. This is a song that celebrates how far Mama Kenya has come," Mwangi stated.

The video also includes scenes from the KICC event when former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, announced Karua as his running mate in the August 9 polls.

Previously, the Azimio team have feature in some music videos as they seek to mobilise Kenyans to rally behind their presidential bid.

Early this year, Raila was featured in the Leo ni Leo song by renowned Benga musician, Emmanuel Musindi, that has since been used as the Azimio theme song.
