  • Update: 14:01: After President-elect William Ruto met with Kenya Kwanza's elected leaders he revealed that the alliance has been able to recruit 10 Independent Members of Parliament.

He stated that 8 Independent MPs-elect were in the meeting and the key among them was Kangundo MP-elect Fabian Muli of the Grand Dream Development Party.

Three independent MPs-elect have joined the Kenya Kwanza alliance after meeting with president-elect William Samoei Ruto.

Njoroge Kururia of Gatundu North, Ekesa Mulanya of Nambale and Nebart Muriuki of Mbere South joined Kenya Kwanza in a move that was seen as the coalition's plan to consolidate more numbers in the National Assembly.

Gatundu's Njoroge Kururia met Ruto and deputy president-elect, Rigathi Gachagua, on Tuesday, August 16, and this is when he made the decision to join Kenya Kwanza.
