Chanelle Kittony: Radio Africa Boss' Daughter Nominated in Natembeya's Cabinet

Trans Nzoia, governor, George Natembeya nominated Chanelle Kittony as the County Executive Committee (CEC) for Gender, Youth, Sports and Culture. 

Chanelle and other nominees will be vetted by the Trans Nzoia County Assembly before assuming office. 

The new CEC nominee is the daughter of Kiprono Kittony, the chairman of both Radio Africa Group and the National Securities Exchange (NSE).

"My beautiful daughter Chanelle turns 21 today. May God grant her health, strength and wisdom," Kiprono wished on January 9, 2015, during his daughter's birthday.

Chanelle's Profile

Before her nomination, Chanelle served as Device Manager at Capital Airtime, a telecommunications company in the US. She joined the company in 2020 and served for over two years.

Before joining Capital Airtime, Chanelle held different positions at Radio Africa Group, which owns KISS 100, Homeboyz Radio and Radio Jambo.

She was responsible for events and activation at Radio Africa for one year. Prior to her promotion, Chanelle was the Client Service Executive at the media house.

The Sports CEC nominee interned at a telecommunications company and Homeboyz Entertainment Limited.

Chanelle holds a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing from the University of Portsmouth based in England.

She is also the granddaughter of Zipporah Kittony, the longest-serving chairperson of Maendeleo Ya Wanawake, who also made a mark in advocating for youth and women's rights.

Zipporah was conferred with the Order of the Grand Warrior in 1998 and the American Biographical Institute Women of the Year Award in 1999.

Chanelle is poised to follow in the family's political footsteps if approved to take up the new position in Trans Nzoia County.
