President William Ruto will chair a fourth Kenya Kwanza Parliamentary Group (PG) to iron out key party issues.
The event was tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, the 15, barely two weeks after a similar PG meeting was held.
With all parliamentary committees formed and members approved, Ruto was expected to give way forward on Kenya Kwanza’s legislative agenda in Parliament.
On top of the agenda will also be The East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) nominations. Kenya Kwanza was allocated five slots to EALA with UDA claiming all the positions.
The coalition is expected to agree on five members out of 12 who were shortlisted for consideration.
The nominees included; Zipporah Kering, Joel Nyambane, Fredrick Muteti, Rebecca Lowoiya, Jonas Kuko, Salim Busidy, Kubai Iringo, Hassan Omar Hassan, Falhadha Iman, David Sankok, Lilian Tomitom and Abdikadir Aden.
Analysts argued that Ruto has been tactically running the affairs of Kenya Kwanza to avoid public spats witnessed in Azimio la Umoja Coalition.
Before electing speakers of both houses of Parliament, Ruto called a PG meeting where they settled on Moses Wetangula and Amason Kingi.
Azimio, on the other end, was marred with confusion with Wiper Party leader, Kalonzo Musyoka, among those who submitted and withdrew his nomination for the speaker's post.
The same was witnessed during the nomination of parliamentarians for House committees.
Recently, on Friday, November 10, Jubilee threatened to ditch the coalition after ODM was awarded all the EALA slots.
"I do not think we should blame ODM, I want to blame my party Jubilee. The party should not send two or three parties on one issue giving different instructions.
"I want to address my party and say, 'put your act together.' Even on the issue of EALA, we had three letters coming from the same party and giving different names," Nominated MP, Sabina Chege, defended ODM, further highlighting the confusion rocking the party.
