In its ranking, USNews.com, a global media outlet, praised the company's carefully curated 15-day package that offers its customers a chance to explore multiple destinations with plenty of comfort.

Travellers have a chance to visit Nairobi, Kenya, for two days before heading to the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, Maasai Mara National Reserve, and the Amboseli and Serengeti national parks.

The company, however, charges Ksh2.7 million ($22,450) per person for the luxury package.

The company is also preferred by Hollywood celebrities and world leaders among them the family of former US President George W. Bush, former US Presidential contender Hillary Clinton, as well as high-ranking Hollywood, stars Natalie Portman and Spike Lee.

Founded 55 years ago, the company has grown to offer services in three continents but its founders, Felix Pinto and Jane Pinto, have maintained their residential home in Nairobi's leafy suburbs of Lavington.

The founders revealed that they are grateful to live in Kenya and raised their children on their farm, close to where Karen Blixen's plantation was located.

"Yes, Africa is our home — we’re fortunate to call it that — and we’re thrilled to share it with our guests. We raised our children on a farm in Kenya, quite close to Karen Blixen’s famous coffee plantation. And we began and built our company here in the land of our birth.

"So you see, when you travel with Micato you’re travelling with more than just a company — you’re travelling with our family," reads a statement from the couple.

Previously, the company collected a number of accolades including being ranked by Travel+Leisure Magazine, the world-leading travel publication, on its annual list of the world's best safari outfitters every year since the awards' inception - roughly 10 years ago.

Anastasia 'Anna' Pinto, Felix's daughter who serves as the company's executive director, disclosed in an interview that her parents started the company to treat guests as family.

"When my parents, Felix and Jane Pinto, founded Micato Safaris more than 55 years ago in Africa, their only business plan was to treat guests like family, an approach Travel + Leisure recognized when they wrote ‘Micato Safaris’ edge is personal warmth.

"The Pinto family run their show as though they were entertaining well-loved, out-of-town relatives.’ To this end, Micato’s safaris are fully inclusive," she stated in an interview with Forbes Magazine.

Other stars who have used its services are Heidi Klum and Blair Underwood known for his role in the TV show 'Quantico.'
