"Order now to reserve your Starlink. Starlink is targeting service in your area starting in Q2 2023. Availability is subject to regulatory approval.

"Within each coverage area, orders are fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis," read the statement in part.

During registration, one is required to provide details such as names, emails and billing information such as credit card.

The service is installed through an array antenna, a Wi-Fi router, cables and a base provided.

"With Starlink, it’s a fair deal both ways. Starlink can adjust terms and pricing as needed, and customers can cancel at any time, for any reason.

"Try any Starlink service for 30 days and, if not satisfied, return the hardware for a full refund," the company stated.

If approved, Kenya will become among the first African countries to enjoy satellite internet services. Other countries scheduled to join include Nigeria and Mozambique.

In Nigeria, Starlink charges Ksh5300 per month for the internet service and Ksh74,280 for the hardware.

Starlink satellites were launched in May 2019 and operate in over 30 countries all over the world.

According to global financial services company, Morgans Stanley Investment bank, Starlink and SpaceX are valued at Ksh10 trillion.
