LGBTQ activist Edwin Kiprotich alias Chiloba was choked with socks in his mouth, according to government pathologist Dr. Johansen Oduor.

Speaking to the press on Wednesday, January 11, Dr. Oduor affirmed that the late fashion model was also stuffed with jeans in his mouth.

He later died after losing breath.

"We did an autopsy on the body of Edwin Kiprotich and we found that he died from choking as a result of his nose and mouth being sealed.

"He could not breathe and died shortly after. The first thing we found was that his mouth and nose was stuffed with jeans. There was also socks in his mouth," he noted.

He, however, dispelled rumours that his eyes were gouged out but affirmed the decomposition of the body. Oduor pointed out that they were analyzing a sample to find out if the model was drugged.

"We did not find any injuries in his body and we are still investigating if he was given drugs so that he could not resist his abductors.

"The eyes were still there but the body had begun decomposing."

Four suspects were arraigned in court on Tuesday, January 10, over the model's murder. One of the prime suspects told the court that his arrest was a cover-up by police to hide the truth.

He noted that he was unfamiliar to prime suspect Jackton Odhiambo and the other two suspects who were arraigned in court as suspected accomplices.

The suspect requested Senior Resident Magistrate Richard Odenyo to expedite the investigations in a bid to exonerate him.

"All these people being held with me as suspects are strangers that I have never met. Detaining me for three weeks will subject my young family to a lot of suffering and anguish,” he stated.

The judge, however, declined the request and allowed the detectives to detain him for 21 days to allow for the completion of investigations.

"Due to the magnitude of this matter and the nature of investigations involved, this court will allow the police to detain the suspects at Langas police station to complete investigations," the judge ordered
