According to Ogilo, he received phone calls from senior government officials who recounted the events in the viral video that was recorded at the Alleyways Beer Garden Club, in Kisumu.

"I received calls from the Regional Commissioner (RC) to the Senior Chief, my boss and supervisor. They are modern guys," Ogilo revealed.

Ogilo noted that administration work had since moved from the past culture where government officials never interacted with members of the public.

"All comments are positive! Things have changed, unlike during the times of paramount Chiefs that never interacted with anyone," Ogilo explained.

The Northern Sub-Location Assistant Chief also explained that he is always working, whether on off-duty activities or in his uniform.

He encouraged his fellow Administrators to follow in his footsteps and engage their constituents on matters that are affecting their communities.

"We are now digital, and our focus should be to dialogue with the people that we are responsible for," Ogilo urged.

Based on his assessment, Ogilo explained that many people have become very free with him after his dancing video went viral, and are currently sharing very critical information about their communities.

“Being a chief has improved my discipline, I even had to shave my beard,” noted the administrator.

Ogilo's responsibilities cover Kisumu Bus Park, Northern Sub-Location, Argwins Kodhek, Ondiek, Patel Flats, Nyalenda Railway, Upper Railway estates and the Police line.

Christened the ‘Miondoko Chief’, Ogilo went viral on Friday, January 6, 2023, after dancing to a song popularly known as 'Kuna kuna'.

“I usually watch music shows on television and some challenges on TikTok but decided to do it my own way and have moves that my weight could carry,” he explained in a past interview.
