First Lady Rachel Ruto assured Kenyans that the Kenya Kwanza administration will resuscitate the ailing economy, asking them to turn to God and remain patriotic.

Mama Rachel made the remarks on Saturday, January 20, during  a prayer worship service organized by the Gospel Embassy Church.

During the event, President William Ruto's wife made a passionate plea to Kisii residents, observing that the region is blessed with bountiful harvest while most areas in the country are being ravaged by drought.

She urged Kisii residents to use the opportunity and extend a helping hand as an act of patriotism.

"Sometimes you people of Kisii might not understand much because I have been told that you get rainfall for 10 months in a year," Rachel observed.

“Because you have been blessed, sometimes be taking lorries of bananas to the affected area,” she pleaded with the residents.

The relief food donated by residents will supplement the efforts made by National Government to help drought-stricken areas.

“President William Ruto’s government has put measures to help counties experiencing food insecurity.

“Let us unite with the government to help people in North Eastern, Kajiado, and other Arid and Semi-Arid Land (ASAL) areas,” she remarked.

The Gospel Embassy Church had invited the First Lady to a church crusade following bizarre incidents in the region.

“Soon in this region we are going experience spiritual revival,” the First Lady prayed for the region.

The crusade was headed by Pastor Peter Morwabe and attended by church leaders from Kisii and Nyamira Counties.

Political leaders Governor Simba Arati and Kisii Woman Representative Dorice were also present.
