Gypsum

The demand for gypsum boards has risen in recent years, attributable to their versatility in applications. Gypsum is now an ideal alternative to conventional timber and ply boards for ceilings which explains the steady growth in demand.

Besides being used in putting up stylish ceilings in modern houses, gypsum boards are used in crafting fancy interior designs on walls and as an alternative to cement plaster.

The boards have been praised for the rate at which they have transformed interior designs for housing. In addition, the gypsum boards are resistant to a wide range of solvents, including water. This waterproof feature makes them a worthwhile option for developers in construction.

Other properties that make gypsum boards a valuable material for interior design include the fact that they are resistant to fire and can be used for soundproofing.

Terrazzo

The terrazzos are also a common sight in modern houses and buildings. The pebbles, made from one of the world's hardest materials are blended with cement to create one of the most aesthetically appealing surfaces.

Terrazzos can be used for walls and floors as a substitute for tiles or lead oxide plaster floors. Walls made of terrazzo have also proven to be of great aesthetic value in housing. They can be applied differently in interior design- including kitchens or bathrooms.

Terrazzos are regarded as environmentally friendly since they are made from recycled materials that terrazzo which could have otherwise been regarded as waste.

In addition, they are regarded as long-lasting options for your decor, with an average lifespan of 75 years.

Wallpapers

Another common sight in modern interior decor techniques is the use of wallpapers. From shops to restaurants and spas- wallpapers are a prominent hack for enhancing the aesthetic appeal of buildings without necessarily altering the structures.

Wallpapers are more effective, especially when the premises are temporarily in use. Thus, amenities such as barber shops, salons, spas, and restaurants are well suited to this technique of interior decor.

Porcelain Mosaic Tiles

Porcelain tiles are made of fine clay modified to make a dense product- different from normal tiles.

It is applicable in commercial and domestic housing with the advantage of being waterproof and denser. Its density makes it suitable for high-traffic places, including public amenities.
